Comments about Ride Snowboards Ill Eagle Contraband:

I am reviewing the Nitrane Contrabands, which are older but seem to still be pretty much the same bindings. I have to say the only reason these don't get 5 stars from me is because after a half season of riding the V or Y strap (can't remember what they call it) starting tearing. I sent an email to Ride and they sent me replacements 2 day air. No questions other than what color and where to send them. Also, once I replaced it, they have not torn even the slightest since, I chalk it up to a bad batch of silicone since the issue has not repeated itself. I get about 25-30 days of riding in a year.

the set up is lengthy but once dialed into your boots then these are awesome, no pressure points, super comfy with good flex. never feel like I am actually wearing bindings. I couldn't be happier with them.

Comments about Ride Snowboards Ill Eagle Contraband:

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE LATE CONTRABAND BINDINGS. BUT AS THE PRODUCT IS ALMOST THE SAME, I THOUGHT I'D SHARE MY COMMENTS WITH YOU.

Easy entry and release when set up correctly...which may take a few adjustments along the way. Its weight is decent considering the minimal hardware. Aluminium baseplate is incredible and very responsive. BUT, I'd like to let you know guys, one of my straps broke when fastening it while on the mountain. Major turn off. Also turned off by Ride customer care when I told them about that. They just told me to buy a new one at my nearest Ride dealer...Bummer!

I expected stronger materials, and a better quality product for the bucks. Wouldn't buy it again.
